This switch takes a wired connection from a TP-Link Deco WiFi extender and enables a wifi to wired connection in the conservatory / Gym.

The switch itself is used for transmission of data and power to 2 x Reolink CCTV cameras in the garden.

TP-Link Deco M5 Mesh WiFi Extender

To enable the many devices we have around the kitchen to have a strong wifi signal, the kitchen has its own dedicated Deco wifi extender connected to a wifi mesh.

This enables fast communication around the house and ensures a strong internet signal via wifi that is distributed across the wifi mesh to certain locations in the house.

Power Monitoring Smart Plug
Preflashed with Tasmota

I have tasmota smart plugs connected to:

  • Treadmill
  • Gym TV

They are used for remote (power) control of the connected devices as well as providing energy monitoring statistics imported into Home Assistant.

Echo Dot – 2nd Gen

This dot allows voice control to the smart home from this location, and also is used for announcements should someone arrive at the front door while the Gym is in use.

Smartbot Temperature & Humidity Sensor

As winter approached it was important to monitor the homes temperature and humidity to reveal if there were any issues with heat escaping or high humidity causing damp and mould.
